Circular miniaturized connectors under the Eddicy portfolio offer unmatched performance, safety, and adaptability for critical systems—from defense to robotics and beyond
Schaltbau, a global leader in direct current (DC) technology, today announced the latest innovation in its Eddicy portfolio: the VG96934 Version J connectors. The series is the new generation of the field-proven NF10 connector series engineered for exceptional reliability in the most demanding environments. Designed to meet the needs of modern mission-critical communication systems—from defense to robotics and beyond—these compact circular connectors deliver proven, field-tested performance where it matters most.
Built on more than 20 years of engineering excellence, the series embodies the trusted quality of the company’s “Made in Germany” heritage. With advanced shielding technology that is fully RoHS conforming[i] the new 10-pol connector series also meets the demanding VG96934 version “J” specifications for defense-grade reliability.
“In today’s geopolitical climate, the reliability of critical infrastructure components has taken on renewed importance—especially in defense and national security applications,” said Helmut Pusch, CEO, Schaltbau Group GmbH. “We’ve been trusted to supply critical infrastructure for decades. This latest generation of connectors reflects our commitment to reliable, regulation-ready technology that delivers peace of mind in the field—no matter the conditions.”
Built for harsh and high-risk environments, the connectors feature shock- and vibration-resistant construction, gold-plated, self-cleaning pogo pin contacts, and 70+ dB shielding to maintain consistent signal quality and eliminate costly downtime. A compact design and matte black, non-reflective finish offer discreet performance, while IP68 sealing (both mated and unmated) protects against water, dust, and chemicals—even under pressure.
Highly configurable and adaptable, VG96934 Version J connectors support evolving mission requirements without major redesign nor new product approval, reducing maintenance effort and extending the lifecycle of critical systems. With over 5,000 mating cycles, they are built to perform reliably over the long term. A RoHs-compliant 7-pin variant is also available, which complies with the defense equipment standard VG95351.
Whether for defense-grade communication, advanced automation, or rugged transportation systems, both Eddicy’s connector series deliver connections customers can count on in critical systems across industries.
